Giveaway Day!

It's Giveaway Day on sew mama sew and I actually

a) remembered,
b) had time to sew something,
c) managed to take a photo and write a blog post.

So welcome if you come over from sew mama sew and are new here. Hi to everyone else as well! If you are new here, my name is Kerstin, I love to sew, I am a total fabric addict, and this blog is where I write about my adventures in sewing.

I am giving away a pincushion and pins, because you can never have enough of those, no?

For a chance to win, leave a comment on this post. Just say hi of if you like, or tell me what your favorite sewing tool is. I'll pick a winner randomly on May 17th. International entries are welcome!

Have a happy giveaway day and for all the mothers out there, I hope your day was a nice as mine yesterday!

Update: This giveaway is now closed, I'll announce the winner on Monday, May 19th, 2014.

  5. My favourite sewing tool is part of my Bernina pocket knife (made by the makers of the Swiss Army knives). The "knife" is, of course, full of sewing tools, including a mini pair of scissors, a tiny rotary cutter, chalk and lots more. But the tool I use most is a very simple one with which I can hold a sewing machine needle in place with my left hand while tightening the screw with my right. That's something I'd done for years without any extra tools, but since developing arthritis holding the needle steady is very difficult.

  126. I love those little cathedral window pin-cushions! They're so lovely!

I think my favourite tool right now is my hera marker... I've always been afraid of marking my quilt tops (ever since the first time I quilted something, used a mechanical pencil to mark my lines and never could wash it out...) so I'm loving that it just kind of "scores" the fabric and goes away when you wash it - no chemical residue or anything!
